Deep in the thriving forest of Putorino, sunlight filters through lush canopies, illuminating moss-covered rocks and pristine streams. Birdsong fills the air, carried by a cool breeze and the gentle rhythm of flowing water. Tūmanako means Hope. This place reminded me that hope is not only something we hold for the future, but something we can nurture through our care and love for the land. If we protect and cherish our whenua, places like this can thrive everywhere on Earth.
