Humboldt Mountains
 
It was a moody evening above the Humboldt mountains. I was particularly drawn to a little pool of water that had accumulated over some time along the mountain peak. Gleaming turquoise, surrounded by the snow that looked like waves under a sky of menacing clouds.
 
I held my breath, composed the image, looked around in awe one final time and slowly clicked the shutter.
